So we set out to explore the high ground of RMNP. There were so many “WOW” moments. It has really been a challenge to pick the photos for this post. Drop dead views...
We ran across a herd of elk, however missed getting the leader of the harem.
The road took us all the way to Grand Lake, a beautiful little town, where we had lunch. Then the drive back to Estes Park.
it was a bird’s eye view from the top of the tram. The ride was short, but the beauty was long...
Off to Estes Park...
There are free shuttles to take you around Estes Park, the city, and into Rocky Mountain National Park.
First pic is the crew waiting for the shuttle at the campground. (Me, Bill, Susan, Carolyn, Harry and Tim)
There is a river (Big Thompson) running through the city, so peaceful.
On the 4th, we went to a pancake breakfast and then hung out around town.
Tim bought a new Tilley hat, looking pretty handsome!
What a way to see Rocky Mountain National Park! In a Jeep! It started at 5:45ish, and we ended up getting back to the RV around 10. We hiked a little to Alluvial Fan, saw a black bear and learned a lot about nature from our tour guide. Wonderful experience.
